It’s tough to get this one wired in. The top and bottom inside are removable to get to the main wiring but the bottom is the one you need to get inside of and because all of the outlets are wired onto that panel it makes accessing the inside a hard process. They could have added enough wire to allow you to move the outlet panel portion further enough away to make it easier but I basically had to disconnect all the outlets to get the main wiring hooked up and then re-connect all the outlets.The wiring they used is I’m fairly certain aluminum. I would question whether or not the 50 amp outlet could ever truly pull 50 amps for very long. I did not test that to find out and I doubt I ever will but, just know 50 amps is probably the max you ever to attempt on this box.The main home wire connection terminals also feels like you could easily over torque and strip out if you tried tightening them too much so be careful.You’ll also have to drill holes if you intend to mount this box with more than the two mounting holes they provided, RV cords are pretty heavy so that could have been better.I’m going middle of the road on this one… not terrible but not exceptional either.

This RV power outlet panel has a solid weatherproof design and includes all the standard receptacles (20, 30, and 50 amp), which is convenient. However, the internal layout makes installation more difficult than it needs to be. To access the main wiring terminals, you have to remove the bottom panel, but since all the outlets are mounted to it, you’re forced to disconnect everything just to get inside.Another issue is the wiring between the main terminals and the breakers—it’s only 8AWG, which is not suitable for the combined potential load of all three breakers. Ideally, it should be 2AWG to handle the maximum possible current safely. This might not pass inspection without modification. Also, the terminal blocks for the incoming power feel a bit flimsy—you have to be careful not to strip them when tightening.It’s a workable solution for temporary use, especially if you’re comfortable making a few adjustments, but for a plug-and-play product, it could have been designed with more thought toward safety and installer convenience.

The Do It Yourself World –
I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. The biggest thing with this is wiring it up. I do not like to tear apart something entirely to connect my wires. They could have made it easier to wire up. I cannot imagine using this for temporary connections and constantly moving it and rewiring it.Other than that it is a good weatherproof outlet box with circuit breakers. I am using this for a different purpose though. I am connecting my off grid solar power system through this since it has outlets and breakers already. This makes it a simple solution. I run all separate lines to my off grid sheds with no AC grid power anywhere so this works fine.Since I will not be running high current through this I am not worried about the wire size inside as others have mentioned.

First the good bit, the Binwacool Temporary Power Outlet Panel is a solid metal panel with UL listed 240v 50 amp, 240v 30amp, and 120v 20 amp outlets. The outlets are UL stamped, so they should be good and safe.The three circuit breakers do NOT carry a UL listing, so local inspectors will likely frown on them.Things start to go south when you open the cover. The internal wiring is completely undersized. Wiring from the 50 amp breaker to the outlet is #8 AWG, which should be #6. But that’s not the worst part, all three breakers are fed from the bus bar with a #8 AWG wire. So, if there is something plugged into all three receptacles you could be pulling up to 80 amps on the common #8 AWG wire! You could say that it’s not likely to have all three maxed out, but there is nothing to prevent that from occurring, so the wire MUST be sized accordingly.This should be an immediate zero star rating since it is completely unsafe as delivered. But since the box itself and the receptacles are good you can use it as a starting point for making a good distribution panel. Just plan on replacing all the wiring and the included breakers.
