This product worked perfect for replacing the original piece on my John deere mower I would buy from this company again with no doubt. Not much else I can say besides if this is what you need buy it.

This Voltage Regulator is a plug and play replacement unit for a John Deere 180 Lawn Tractor. It was easy to install once removing the battery, and two retaining bolts. You just unplug the wiring connector from the old one, and plug it into this unit, and put the bolts back in. Done! Super easy, and only took about 15 minutes from start to finish. So far it is working flawlessly!

Purchased this just over a year ago. At the time I found my old voltage regulator charging the battery at 17V yikes! This regulator fixed the problem at the time. Recently the charging light on the tractor has come back on and the battery is not charging at all. I took the regulator out and found that the connector contacts for the stator are fried to a crisp, and the regulator connector is heat damaged. Both the regulator and the connector from the tractor need to be replaced. It is hard to blame anything but the regulator for this new problem, it should limit charging current within reasonable limits.
