- [LUG BOLTS DESIGN]:While 12.9’s are stronger but less ductile which is an issue in a failure scenario. Pre-installed heat treated 10.9 grade studs are more appropriate in the sense that they have higher plastic strain energy, or in simpleton terms: will tend to deform rather than snap.10.9’s are more than sufficient for a car application in terms of strength and for the reasons mentioned above are more desirable than 12.9’s

I bought this set of 4 spacers for my 1987 Chevy s10 (2wd/rwd) so I could fit camaro wheels on. If you plan on doing the same I would recommend also ordering new extended wheel studs at the same time. There’s a set on Amazon for 10 wheels studs at around $40. Now as for the spacers, they do exactly what they’re supposed to! It’s a bit tougher getting them to go on flush to your hub. I recommend using a wire brush on a drill and some 60 grit sandpaper and take a nice thin layer off of your hub. Even after sanding down both the front and rear hubs, these spacers were just barely squeezing on. Which in my opinion is a good thing. After finally getting them on, I torqued down my lug nuts and then put my wheels right on. Perfect fit and quality is a solid 7/10. (Although the ad says these spacers will NOT fit the front of your Chevy s10 (2wd) they 100% do fit, and they only put that on here to avoid liability issues. Overall a great spacer, and gets the job done!

Only gave 1 star because it wouldn’t let me give a 0 rating !!! Don’t waste your time or money, they don’t fit. Don’t fit wheel hub properly or the wheel. Totally useless hunks of aluminum.
