Dave –
I recently installed flood lights on my car and needed to put a grommet in the firewall so the wiring did not fray over time and decided on this one because it could be installed without pulling apart my dash again and unhooking the wires to snake them through a fully enclosed grommet. It works great with a serrated wire protector, the divots in the protector helps to seat it in the grommet so it stays in place. The only thing that I wish they included was double stick tape so it can be secured to the firewall for easier installation.
