I purchased this heating knife the other day and received it in the mail two days later. I was glad I received it so quickly.I odered it to groove some tires on my 18 wheeler that has worn below dot recommended tread depth. I have used these heating knives before in the past and wanted something newer. Well, after un-boxing and adding the cutting blade, I plugged in the cord into my 110v wall socket at home. Waited 30 minutes for the iron to get hot 🔥 and NOTHING. No warmth at all. I tried multiple outlets and even a 5000w power inverter that I use in the truck . It never heated up not once. I’m returning this defective product.

Worked well to groove my industrial tires on my tractor. I warmed up my tires with a torpedo heater and that made cutting go way faster, with less effort, than when they were at room tempature.

Cuts like butter when the tires are warm and you let the tool heat up for 15mins. Very, very hot. Used it on 33″ MT tires and now they have a second life. Super 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Easy instructions. Easy to use. Worked perfectly. I can’t understand the negative reviews. Either it’s quality control or people that is the problem. I used it on 4 37×12.5×17 BFG KM3s and used only 2 blades. Every lug down the middle and every other on the edge. Great product. Would absolutely recomend.

It took a lot of muscle for this old guy to groove his tractor tires. I broke the first blade immediately. Second blade I got through the rest of the job. I believe it was my technique that broke the first one. Hoping they have good grip next winter, but they look awesome !
