Seems like it works like it should. A good hunk of metal with a sufficiently long handle. Makes removing tires much easier than using handheld tire spoons. This tool creates much more leverage to the break the bead. I am happy with it.

I dont like how thin the handle is. It seems like it would break if you missed and hit the handle, although, if you’re using it as a tire hammer that’s very unlikely to happen. That being said, if you break down big tires this is a must have.I change tractor tires a lot. Big tires, like 4′ tall. They don’t fit in a machine so breaking them down by hand is the only option.A tire hammer is a very specially designed hammer. Nothing else can do the job like a tire hammer.I had one for decades an then I lost it. It was perfect for the job, and this one is just like it. Same weight. Same feel.I’m sure this will work great for years to come.Great item

As someone who needs to change tires on a regular basis, this hammer is a lifesaver. It is extremely durable – even after multiple uses, there is no sign of damage and the hammer head and handle have held up well. I find it super reliable every time I use it, even when working on hard bolts. Definitely worth the purchase!

First off, this tool did NOT come assembled. When I opened the box, it contained: the head, handle, grip, and a pair of dipped gloves. This was, by no means, easy to put together. No instructions on assembly or usage of any kind were included. It was easy enough to figure out with only three components. The fiberglass handle is very strong and robust. I can’t tell if the head is forged or cast, but it’s plenty heavy and shaped well for its intended purpose. The grip is grippy, but slips on the handle, so be careful. If you have access to a hydrolic press, it would be the best way to mount the head on the handle. I do not, and had to resort to much more barbaric methods of putting this thing together. Initially, I tried slamming the handle on concrete, hoping the head would seat itself, then I attempted to bang it on with a hand sledge. Neither method worked well. I ended up putting the assembly in my bench vice and repeatedly hiting the top of the handle with my 10# sledge in order to seat the head. Once it was together, everything looked good, but I damaged the fiberglass in the process and had to sand it down to prevent splinters. Tools are measured in their functionality, not their appearance, but it still bothered me to have a brand new tool with battle scars on it before I actually got to use it. This is a copy of a Ken-Tool bead breaker. It’s roughly 1/2 the price, as long as you don’t mind putting it together yourself. In the end, this funcioned VERY well. I wouldn’t use it on something delicate, like a motorcycle wheel or fancy rims. However, if you need to pop the bead off of an old truck or tractor tire with steel rims, THIS WILL DO IT!
