We installed this on our 2004 TTR125 with the stock exhaust. It did fit BUT it required some grinding on the brace. With the stock exhaust the brace contacts the exhaust pipe near the head. The brace looks good and provides a better than stock skid plate. But it does reduce your ground clearance by an inch or so.It’s only adults that ride our TTR now, so we installed this brace. I can’t attest to whether the engine / frame layout is weak on the TTR125, as I’ve never seen a broken frame or engine case. But if you believe the online rant, you need this to save your TTR.

The cradle an skid plate are great. Here are some things you might want to know. I had to take the exhaust loose an let it hang to get the front frame bolts out. You have to lay the bike on its side to do the job. When you take the original skid plate off the bike springs out a little (1/4 of an inch) so when your trying to line everything up to get the new bolts in you have to grab the front an the rear of the bike an pull it back together to get the bolt holes to line up on the front an rear of the cradle. The stock exhaust hits the cradle in the front. I didn’t notice until I had tightened everything up it’s not much an since I will be replacing the exhaust later I’m not worried about it. You could bend the exhaust out a little or do some grinding on the cradle if it bothered you.

Super high quality and rigid forged frame stiffener. This piece is a must, along with the chain guide, to ward off potentially catastrophic expensive failures. It bolts right on without any issue, it did not interfere with my exhaust. Gives priceless piece of mind if you want to get rough with your play bike. I hope this review helped you in your shopping decisions, if it was helpful please vote that it was. Thank you!

Had to work pretty hard to get the new bolts in.. alignment wasn’t perfect. Plus I wish the long rear bold came with a washer and a lock nut. Started digging into the aluminum of the cradle as soon as I started tightening it. It was hard enough getting the bolt to fit the first time, sucked taking it out to put a washer on it just to have to mess with it some more to get it back in.Other than that, it looks good and should serve its purpose.

Seems solid, installation was easy took a half hour. (I would suspect if you frame is stretched allready it might be a problem) Did have to remove the exhaust to get it on and exhaust is against it but is holding a seal on outtake so not a worry. Only 4 stars because I would of liked it a bit wider. Overall will serve its purpose

Does the job. Good quality. Stock pipe needs a little persuasion to get around it but if you have half a brain you can make it work

Fits great, offers good engine protection over stock, bike frames will flex after years, requiring some finesse to install, a little patience and mechanical knowledge goes a long way. It was a nice upgrade to stiffen frame up

Way easy to install. Took like 10 minutes. Excellent fitment, no modification needed, no need to remove exhaust. All the holes lined right up. 2001 TTR-125L. Quality construction and materials. Thank you BBR

This is a must have if you’re going to ride hard. We did have to file down the right side arm a little bit to clearance for the exhaust pipe. The instructions don’t even say anything about having to take the exhaust off, but you can’t even get the front bolts out without doing it. Overall, it’s a great product and I’m happy with the purchase.

It’s built well and should.add strength to the frame but hangs lower than it needs to and loses ground clearance. The bike will not longer for over a standard bike lift. Also, the instructions leave out steps like having to remove the exhaust to get to the bolts that need removed / re-installed. Plan on 1 hour or more.
