If you’re having the ‘monkey laugh’ squealing issue with you 2005 or 2006 Jeep 4.0’s OPDA, this is the unit you want. It includes the actual sensor (the wired part) and gasket as well. I can’t confirm it, but thru internet research I have read that this unit has a better upper bushing than the stock unit, and it’s lubricated.

Installed it with no trouble. Perfect fit and working great. The computer wouldn’t recognize the sensor, so I had to take the jeep to the shop to reset the engine light.

Worked great, just had to reprogram them

way cheaper on amazon than in any parts store around me. chrysler has discontinued this part, so aftermarket is necessary if replacing. the dorman OPDA is supposedly a fix to the chrysler problem, have probably 3000 km on it so far so good. apparantly the sensor is likely to fail more than the OEM one but you can just take the OEM sensor and put it on the dorman one if need me. i havent had any problems yet.. all in all good product awesome price

Fit perfectly in my 06 Jeep rubicon. Did the pin method to make sure the timing didn’t get jacked up. Hasn’t been in long but so far so good.

Works great, Saved my engine.”Stealership” tried to charge me 4000$ to fix the “Laughing monkey” problems on my 2005 Jeep wrangler TJ, and cut-off @3000RPM(Many videos on the issue for 2005-2006 models on Youtube)This part was exactly what I needed, I got it changed to a mechanic who also took proper time to check the engine timing after replacement (I strongly recommend you to do so as well for extra precaution not just rely on “pin method” )Also, if the gears inside the engine turns out to be grinded (because you waited too long before replacing this part), you may end up changing more than just this part (that was not my case)

Exactly as advertised. Saved me $100 for same part from parts source.

Worked as advertised.

Product was as described. Worked great.** as a precautionary note, make sure you have a specialized scan tool that can measure crankshaft/camshaft correlation. My snapon ethos was able to display this so that I could get it to 1° . If you do not time it correctly, your ecm could place you into limp mode.
