Made a custom fuel tank with roughly a 1/2” hole for the fuel pickup. Previous style tank fitting I used didn’t fit securely and the rubber dissolved after 6 months of storage. Elected to purchase this one. Happy with the fit in the tank, nice secure fit that doesn’t appear to leak. Rubber seems nice and thick. Time will tell if it holds up to fuel or not.

This metal product works well if your old elbow is plastic and got ripped off by a tree branch. WARNING: You may have to clearance the tank to fit the grommet
