I refuse to buy anything but a Gates belt, and these are the premium line. Awesome belt and long lasting. Used them for over 15 years on all my vehicles and equipment and never had a failure. I do replace them when they finally wear out and before the point of failure, but that takes a while with these belts. I’ve ran them well over 100,000 miles without so much as a squeak. That being said, if you have any bad pulleys, bearings, components or anything mis-aligned in the belt train, the best belt in the world will fail quickly on you. Make sure things are in good shape and aligned. I personally replace all tensioners and idler pulleys at around 100k, or when they start to exhibit signs of wear. I cannot count the number of shredded belts I’ve replaced due to bad pulleys and/or mis-alignments being the core problem. Don’t blame the belt when there’s another issue causing the problem. At the same time, I’ve also seen cheap belts fail on perfectly aligned systems with no issues at all, so get a good belt and make sure the rest is in good shape. Do that and this belt will last a long time.Amazon’s part finder is not the best, so I strongly recommend cross checking the part # against another site. You will also need to verify the option codes on your vehicle if you have more than one alternator (or other) option(s) (like I had on my truck).

I bought this when i saw my belt was starting to go out. I was very impressed. Same exact length as my factory belt. First of all the belt in the parts store is 72 dollars before taxes so this justunder half the cost and a factory oem rubebr belt was 45. Putting it on wasnt too bad but the belt is SUPER tight it gives almost no slack. It keeps my tensioner almost maxxed after releasing it when the belt is on. I was a little nervous with that but i have a brand new tensioner on it and after i started the truck i immediately noticed the steering wheel was much softer to turn and the truck had a better and smoother idle and the headlights dont dim and the rpms dont drop while turning the wheel at low speeds. The truck also accelerates a little better too. New belt made the whole truck feel completely different im very pleased

This belt is an excellent choice for a dependable, reliable belt drive on a 2006+ Ford Crown Victoria, 2006+ Mercury Grand Marquis or a 2006+ Lincoln Town Car, all with the 2v 4.6 V8. This particular belt from Amazon costs half of an OEM belt at a parts chain store. It is stronger and more durable. The Amazon compatibility function specifically states this belt is not compatible with these cars, however this is wrong. The Gates OEM part number for these cars is K060923, this is K060923HD the difference being that it’s heavy duty. The picture supplied is of a 2011 P7B CVPI that I replaced the intake manifold on, I used this belt on the customer’s car while putting it back together (along with a new tensioner and idler). For a good, strong belt that will not let you down, this is really the only choice.

As of now, it’s been on my truck for a little over a month and have not noticed a change in the belt. It’s very sturdy and looks good, it is cheaper on here rather than the auto parts stores. I highly recommend this one if you are replacing your stock one. This one is for a 2005 Silverado 5.3 with the 105a (which I replaced with a mechman 240a) and had no issues or play on the belt. Gates belts are built good and no complaints. Will do an update if it fails or if I swap after a while.

Just found out today that it is too small for the 06 suburban 1500. Amazon descriptions says it is a match but in reality it is not for this vehicle. This makes me very upset that I was mislead and now Amazon won’t do anything about it because it is a year past the return window.

These fleetrunner green belts are longer lasting and heavy duty! If you’re going to the trouble of swapping a belt, might as well use one of these so you don’t have to do it again for a while. I always recommend swapping out the tensioner when you do the belt, so don’t forget to get one of those, too. These belts are instantly recognizable from the green backing. Mine has been very quiet and should last a really long time. Don’t skimp on something that can leave you stranded. Get these!
