So, I purchased this cable because one of the cables in my stock manual transmission shifter broke. So, naturally, I want to replace it. i figure out the stock # and the part #. Purchase this, get it much later than preferred. (everything takes longer when you can’t drive without it).Anyway, It took about me and my mechanic buddy about 5 hours to install it, because it ended up being a very complex job. No matter, I was happy to get this done.Less than a week passes, and for some reason I can only shift in certain gears (2, 4, reverse) – when I go into first or fifth, it feels like it “unhooks” and its not in a gear at all – or the prior gear. So I get it to a mechanic shop, and they say that one of the cables is broken.Are you F—ing kidding me???I am working on trying to find a solution with amazon/3rd party at this time and I will change the review if I can get it resolved. However, I doubt it will be able to be solved if I have to take the 4+ hours and time to tow it and get it taken out again to send it back.This is already been such a huge inconvenience with me and I still have a non working car. How can I put confidence in buying another one of these, even if I take the time to send it back for a refund?************EDIT*************Spoke with a supervisor on amazon chat and eventually got them to send me a replacement cable and I will send the broken one back. This reason alone i moved the review from 1-star to 3-star. If I get the cable and it seems to actually work this time I will change my rating to a 5-star just based on customer service.

About an inch and a quarter longer than the OEM cable, mechanic was able to make it work for now, don’t know how long it will last, crossing my fingers!

This is my first review of any item from any website. I am so frustrated with this product that I feel the need to warn anybody that may purchase this in the future. My original purchase was defective. The cable end was not crimped to the cable. I have come across in the past auto parts that are defective and thought it was not the norm. I would return products in the past and the replacement would be acceptable. I was able to get a replacement, and when I pulled it out of the box i found that once again I received a part with the exact same problem. Knowing in my heart that another replacement from Auto 7 would be the same I was able to fix the issue with the brand new part. This is the first and last time I will purchase any part for any vehicle that was manufactured and/or supplied by Auto 7. This experience has convinced me that this company has no quality standards and everything that may come from this company will have poor quality.I would like to give 5 stars for Amazon’s return policy because it is amazing.
