Handy tool for my RC tool bag.

The only issue I had was the punches will want to bend if you are not careful. Take your time and line everything up, it will take more than one try. Once everything is lined up correctly it should come apart smoothly

If your savvy, and very patient, you can actually use this on other motor size pinion removal as well. I was easily able to use this on a 330 size, but it is intended for a 180. Key here is patience.Well made pinion remover. Threads are smooth, just add a tab of oil to help, and then use the included adapter as needed and gently work the pinion off.No instructions are included, but check popular forums and videos for information on “how to”. Plenty videos exist for 550 size motors and just use those and adapt.Set includes adapter, installer, device, and 3 different sizes (1.3, 1.8, 2.8) for pinon removal.

This puller is too narrow to use easily with 550 size motors, especially ones with long shafts (lookin at you, cheap kids’ ride-on toys). However, pressing being more an art than a science, I made do with a couple of nickels as shims. Also note that I had to back out the shaft insert a few threads and use the lower slot in the arms, which is normally used for pinion installation, to instead pull the 550 motor’s pinion. Perhaps I should have paid more attention to the detailed dimensional diagrams in the item photos before purchasing this puller. Other than that, no real complaints.I had to use a c-clamp to install the pinion since the 550 motor won’t fit inside this pinion tool.Go ahead and oil all the threads before using this. It makes pressing so much easier. Make sure the shafts stay aligned, they tend to walk under load and rotation. Also push the motor shaft as far as you can into the v-slot on the plate, this keeps the plate from bending under load. Be patient, this device will work with you if you work with it.

This one works, while the small brass ones crack. I know this bc I bought a brass pinion puller but it was made too thin and snapped. This MEUS puller is strong like bull! 🐂

This is a handy tool for installing and removing rc pinions. Thry can be pretty tricky to do by hand so this definitely makes the job a breeze. Very cool uniwue good quality tool.

I used this to remove and press on a new pinion gear on my Mofo Nanabeast motor. I found it super easy to use and had the job completed in less than 5 minutes from the time I opened the box. Now I can play around with brushless motor gearing options with pressed on pinion gears.

It works only on motors that actually fit between the two sides if its any bigger than its useless KP000
