My old radiator cap would leak, even though I put an overflow tank on it on my 1966 Mustang. It’s the original radiator. They have another one, but it’s a little less pressure pound wise, so I decided to get this one since it said it can handle more pressure. my radiator has not leaked at all since I got this! To be clear, when it leaked was after I shut it off and the car would sit there. Now, no leaks at all and my radiator looks good again. (no fluid stains on fresh paint) I would highly recommend if you have an original 66 Mustang, put a radiator overflow tank on it. You will not be upset with this cap, as besides the brass in the center, it looks almost identical to the original. Most people would not even know.

I installed a radiator overflow tank on my 71 Ford truck and the coolant would flow out just fine but never siphon back in to the radiator. I tried a new cap that was supposed to work with an overflow tank but the suction feature never worked. This cap worked as advertised. It costs a little more than the aftermarket ones, but it is worth it.

My old cap was definitely used. It fits and not bad quality for the price.

Purchased this 13lb pressure radiator cap for my 1965 Ford Mustang w/6cyl engine and it fit perfectly and looks great on the radiator. After a test drive it worked as it should. Great value I recommend this product.
