Replacement Rear Zip-In Window for BMW Z3 Convertibles. This is a new BMW window built by me from all new components. Made in USA. An Z3 window is a zip-in window with black canvas trim on the outside edge that you tuck your top into. We have made hundreds of BMW Convertible windows. The plastic used is DOT approved, higher quality and longer lasting than OEM BMW plastic. The OEM plastic can be scratched with your fingernail. This plastic won’t easily be scratched with your fingernail and is more flexible, meaning that it should be more resistant to cracking. My trim will not deteriorate like BMW’s trim will, either. These windows come with a 1 year replacement warranty. A lot of people ask if they can replace the window themselves. The old window unzips and the new window zips in. I supply the zipper slider necessary to do the operation (zipping and unzipping). You will need an assistant, and it should take 1-2 hours. It has been done in as little as 15 minutes.

This plastic window was a replacement for my 1999 BMW Z3. The install was pretty simple if you follow the instructions carefully. It includes everything you need to swap out the old and discolored BMW plastic window. I will say the only downside is the new plastic window scratches easy, so be careful on what you lay it down on. In worst case, you can remove the light scratches with plastic scratch/polish remover.

For the price, can’t beat this. Install went pretty well. I did get some cement outside of the window area but hey, the car is 27 years old and a ton of miles so happy with the way it turned out.

The window was an entirely different shape from the original and would not fit my 1997 BMW Z3. The zipper pulls provided were of terrible quality and would not mesh the zipper teeth together. Now I can’t get my original window in because of these terrible zipper pulls. AVOID THIS PRODUCT IT DOES NOT FIT!!

Perfect fit for BMW Z3 OEM tops! Not a lot of direction included in package. Youtube videos do a good job in describing the process. Install time 3-4 hours. It is very helpfull to have two people working on this. Product is excellent quality. Everything is included in the package for installation.
