I bought this to have a genuine stanadyne pmd and not the cheap Chinese one. When it came in it looked to be refurbished and not new. The plug wasn’t the same as the factory 6.5 wiring harness But it did plug up tight squeeze tho. It does work just fine but I keep getting pmd failure codes. So might be going back to the Chinese made pmd.

It showed up on time and it works as it should! If you have the black PMD you will need to cut the ears off the plug

My 99 suburban 6.5 diesel started randomly shutting down while driving or in traffic so I suspected it was the PMD. Sure enough truck runs well now so surging or shutting off. Going to buy a spare to keep on hand.

I had my mechanic replace a bad PMD…he apparently purchased a cheap version on here because 3 weeks after that the PMD died again, (it was mounted on the grill outside the engine compartment). After putting this on my hummer started right up and was fine. Just make sure you also buy the appropriate harness, which is also here in amazon.(Update) purchased this in Oct 2022, it’s now May 2024, it lasted 1 summer. As soon as it started warming back up again here in texas, it started failing. Pretty disappointing. Tried to replace with an oem from autozone, which didn’t work, so I guess I will have to order one of these again and just hope it lasts longer.
