This easily removed some notes I made on a PCB with a sharpie, and dried fast with no residue after wiping.The text on the can is a little odd because it says “Sesil Electronic Board Cleaner is a clear spray protects circuits and electrical devices from moisture and chemicals”, which would imply it’s more of a conformal coat. Others have beat me to the punch here, so this will just be my words that explain pretty much everything else someone has already said. So no super in depth review here.When I read the description here, it looks like this stuff is a conformal coating, which in the electronics trade can come in many forms. Everything from simple spray cans of lacquer all the way to very expensive coatings that are applied in very controlled lab environments. Being in a spray can, I would think this could be either a lacquer or one of the new water proofing sprays you hear about. But that isn’t what this is.This actually seems to just be an aerosolized cleaner more along the lines of isopropanol. I don’t think it coats anything. Since it seems safe on plastics, I don’t think it’s a very active cleaner like, acetone or something very volatile. I am not about to go smelling this stuff to find out, because hard telling what is really in it.I could give it a better review and more stars if the description was more accurate. The lack of an SDS is a bit worrisome. There are some spray cleaners out there of yore that have some very concerning chemicals in them and I don’t want to use something that could end up causing me issues later in life.I tend to use a lot of 99% isopropyl alcohol and pure water (either distilled or ultra pure water, which is water that is processed to remove anything that isn’t water, found in labs and silicon foundries) to clean circuit boards. I will dunk the boards in pure water and clean most of the heavier grime off, then do a round in an ultrasonic cleaner to get the harder to remove stuff off and then a mix of pure water with a touch of the iso in it, so you could call it 5% isopropyl, but mainly it’s just water with enough alcohol to aid wetting and to speed drying. Water is usually all that is needed and won’t attack conformal coatings.

Didbthe job better than expected really helped break down old crud.PlayStation required me to update the date and time every day.Did the research and it was just a matter of replacing this battery.The tear down was a little bit rough but on top of that I also bought other items.Thermal paste and Thermal pads basically gave my PS3 fat a internal facelift.

Opened can lid and went to spray and the nozzle tip broke.

Does what is supposed to. Do use good ventilation. Stupid male cat sprayed my almost new computer right into the side ventilation grid. Opened it up and pulled the memory sticks, washed down the circuit board and the memory sticks. Got it to boot and and selected the PCIe drive and Windows opened, working so far.
