Easy to install, as no freeze plug pulling required. Downside is you need some special tools (I think a 27mm deep socket). It heats up the car pretty quickly, but won’t get it up much more than 100*F, even after over 2 hours. Still, well worth it.

It’s a Subaru part, and works as expected.

While multiple places said this block heater would fit, including amazon, it did not. It does not fit a 2011 Forester 2.5X, apparently just the 2011 turbo version. By the time we tried to get it installed though and found it didn’t fit, the time to return it was up.

This is the best and cheapest investment you can make for your cars engine. I have this plugged into a timer that turns on three hours before I leave each morning. The engine is physically warm to the touch, and the frost is melted off the hood. The engine starts much easier and quieter when compared to a standard cold start at 0F. For the cost, it is 110% worth it!

I’m on my 2nd winter with this block heater. It worked perfectly last year. So far so good in 2019.2006 WRX, if it is 20*F my car temp gauge will start to move in about 1 minute. I have heat in about 1 minute. Car is almost fully temped out in 3-4 minutes.Best mod I’ve done to my car, it sounds better and starts quickly when plugged in.

Used this on my imported 2002 Forester XT EJ205 engine. Fitment was 110% the instructions were clear as to where the clips mounted to the chassis. Cord length was spot onto instruction details. Worked all through our -30c to -40c this past winter. Engine started with no issues at all!!

match to 2010 subaru forester. Done installation.

Product was exactly as promised. Directions were clear and installation was not to difficult for a DIY project!

It’s zero degrees out, and my car has heat before I get out of the driveway. My driveway is only ten feet long. I love it.

Works great.

I entered the year, model, engine model/ size to ensure this block heater would fit and function. It did not. The power cord could not be fitted to the connection on the block heater itself due to the lack of clearance between the block heater and exhaust manifold.

Comes with everything you need to install it. Might need a couple more zip ties to route it the way you want. The wiring is a little closer to the exhaust then I would like but can’t help that. Plugged it in for a couple hours and my temp went from 50 to 120. Got this to help heat up my oil due to me going thicker and it being winter. My bearings are on the way out. Just trying to make the motor last till I can get another long block.

Has been working great on my 2004 WRX. Installation fit well with the plug in the front bumper, no leaks, heats up okay.
