This is a great oem part for an item that hardly gets replaced these days. My old one was grimy and kind of stuck already. Be sure to find and purchase the pcv hose for it because your original one will be crusty. I forgot to take pictures when replacing it, oops.

This was a genuine Subaru part in the manufacturer’s packaging. Note to Amazon: This DOES fit my 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6R. Amazon shows this as not the correct PCV valve, but this is the correct part.

OEM replacement, only hassle was removing the old one. I soaked it with penetrating oil over night, and then went at it with an impact driver. Make sure to torque to specification!

Hiking n Stuff –
Worked great Subaru Outback 2008. You have to remove lots of stuff to install it. I would recommend you replace the air hose because if your car is older its probably baked/weathered. And its easier to replace then fight pulling the old one off without damaging it. My old mechanic taped mine, that’s why he “was” my mechanic. Time consuming to replace because you have to remove so many items. But use a Subaru part especially since the job is so involved.

Seems like the factory has decreased the diameter of the vent opening. Was a factory part # that was crossed with the old number. Seems to work like it’s supposed to.
